Here are all the ways "The Office" makes your life so much better.
1. You just might die of secondhand embarrassment from Michael.
Is it the infamous Diversity Day? His failed romantic attempts with Jan, Carol (played by Steve Carrell's real wife, fun fact), Pam's mom? Or all the bad jokes? In any case, you can always count on Michael for your healthy dose of cringe-worthy laughter.
2. Pam and Jim all the way.
Watching Pam have to deal with Roy for so long when everyone knows that she and Jim were meant to be was absolute torture. But watching the development of their relationship, from adorably flirty friends to awkwardly separated to dating and then married is absolutely and totally worth every second. True relationship goals.
Finally!
3. Jim sets unrealistic standards for guys.
Honestly, could a guy get any better? He's great to Pam, in addition to being funny and charismatic. Whenever a boy wrongs you, just remember, Jim Halpert would never treat you that way.
4. Twenty-minute run times are perfect.
Especially for the ever-busy college student. "The Office" is perfect for when you have 20 minutes to kill ... or a couple of hours. You can fit an episode in between classes or when you have one blissful day of nothing.
5. A Pennsylvanian can really start to get some state pride.
Anytime the great state of Pennsylvania or any of its cities is brought up, we Pennsylvanians are wonderfully reminded that one of the best shows in television history is set in our home state. And we always try to find our town on the map in Michael's office. Chew on that, Ohio!
6. "That's what she said" is never leaving your head. Ever.
Even in any remotely possible setting, you will think it. If you're lucky, you'll be able to utter it and others will understand. Even people who haven't seen "The Office" will understand the joke. It will never leave you.
7. You get a little concerned when you can actually relate to Angela.
Angela is terrifying sometimes. But when you find yourself silently judging another person from across the room, or tending to the soft spot in your heart for cats, you may realize that you're not that different at all -- and that's a little scary.
8. You get very excited when someone can understand your "Office" references and finish quotes with you.
And very sad when no one gets it. But then finally someone understands and boom, friends.
9. You find yourself looking at an imaginary camera.
We've all done it. Whenever things are just a bit wacky, you turn to look at a camera that isn't there. But oh, it really should be. Wouldn't our lives be so much more fun if they were an episode of "The Office"?
10. You're never really done.
Even after the last episode is over, you will always go back it watch your favorites again. You have to. It's "The Office," and it's home.
