As we get closer to the end of the semester we all begin to realize that we are drawing closer and closer to finals. Most, if not all of us, at this point are completely drained and exhausted from classes and social activities. However, we still have to manage to make it through these last three weeks and then we are home free for Christmas break! It's extremely vital that we all stay focused and really study hard. Just because we are almost done does not mean we can give in now. Fret not! Here are 10 ways to help you prep for finals week and stay on top of your A-game.
1) Instead of reading to yourself read out loud.
2) Create mental associations with certain topics.
3) Create flashcards to help study with.
4) If it helps, listen to positive music while you study.
5) Change your study venue from time to time. Instead of the lounge or your dorm, try the library or outside.
6) Get plenty of rest in advance don't wait until the night before.
7) If you haven't tried it, try study groups!
8) Take a break in between studying subjects and relax.
9) Don't study until you get it right, study until you can't get it wrong!
10) Finally after exams, treat yourself!
"Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do." -Pele
