Ever wondered why it was a no-brainer for you to join a sorority? Could it be from all the parallels between being a Girl Scout and a sorority girl? Bet you never realized how similar the two organizations are. They are practically Big and Little.

Here are 10 ways that being a Girl Scout destined you to be a sorority girl:

1. You had a troop leader.

This woman was like your house mother or even your Big. She always looked out for your best interests. She guided you through milestones and made sure you were always safe. She was your number one supporter.

2. You wore badges.

Sure, as a Girl Scout, you may have received a plethora of badges from all the activities you've completed and challenges you've faced. As a sorority girl, you traded in your sash of badges for one very expensive badge: your sorority badge.

3. You did philanthropy.

The volunteering never stopped. As a Girl Scout, you could always be found doing community service with senior citizens to running a food drive for the homeless. Shoutout to Kappa Delta who actually has Girl Scouts as their national philanthropy.

4. You had a sisterhood.

A group of girls brought together with one common goal: growth. Some of these girls easily became your best friends and still are today. Just like Girl Scouts, sororities give girls friendships that will last a lifetime.

5. Values, values, values

Girl Scouts and sororities are both value based organizations. Girl Scouts have the values of courage, confidence, and character. Sororities have core values that they practice daily in order to grow as women. Talk about a connection.

6. You traded in your uniform for letters.

You graduated from the sash/smock and now get the honor of wearing the letters of your Greek organization.

7. You went camping.

Ok, so maybe it wasn't full on camping. Maybe it was glamping and it took place in your troop leader's house or backyard. No shame. You were happy as long as you got to bond with your other fellow Girl Scouts. As a sorority girl, you don't necessarily always go camping, but you do go on retreats. These retreats are designated to have sisters bond with one another and even alumnae.

8. You had fundraisers.

You know what time it is! Time to buy Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs, Do-si-dos, and Trefoils galore. Every year, you made it your personal goal to sell more cookies than you did last year. As a sorority girl, the fundraisers are endless. They range from bake sales to even Chipotle fundraisers.

9. You lived for crafting.

You may or may not have been that great at crafting, but at least you gave it your all. Luckily, those early years of crafting prepared you for the real event: Big Little crafts.

10. You had ceremonies.

These ceremonies, like the bridge ceremony, were for a Girl Scout graduating to another level of being a Girl Scout. As a sorority girl, you may not be crossing bridges, but you definitely are having ritual ceremonies.

See the parallels now? It's extremely uncanny how similar the two are. Maybe now it's all starting to make sense that being a Girl Scout truly destined you to join a sorority.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
