10 Truths The Kardashians Have Taught Me

1. Family is everything.

The Kardashians, as an outsider looking in, are full of drama and chaos. Something else they are full of (besides the occasional BS) is love. Despite all of the scandalous stories, DUIs and all around psychotic behavior they seem to always have each other's back no matter what.

2. Have confidence!

This family, especially Kim, definitely appear to be super self absorbed. Okay, they are definitely self absorbed. If you had a glam squad at your beck and call 24/7 wouldn't you be a little too into yourself as well? They aren't hurting anyone by being beautiful, so if you got it flaunt it!

3. Honesty is ALWAYS the best policy.

After watching the Kardashians for as long as I have, Khloe has become my favorite sister. She is never afraid to tell it like it is and I love it! I believe that more people should be like that because no one likes a fake. Maybe she'll even be president one day! Just kidding that would be the end of the world as we know it.

4. There is such a thing as an ugly crier.

Even though Kim may live the perfect life and seem to have it together at all times there are a few instances or six where she does not. I'd like to say I have one up on Kim because I don't look as ugly crying, but then again I'm not that special to have my picture taken while doing so. Either way thank you Kim for letting me know that meltdowns are a part of life.

5. Always be true to yourself.

On a more serious note, Caitlyn Jenner is teaching the world that it is never too late to be yourself. On her reality TV show, I Am Cait, she shows us her daily struggles after transforming into a woman. Caitlyn also shows us that she would rather be herself and deal with these struggles than lie to herself or the world for one more day.

6. You can never take too many selfies.

In Kim's eyes selfies are clearly a way of life. Like who else would publish a book titled "Selfish" that includes selfies on selfies? I guess if you're going to be selfish in life go big or go home! Thanks for the lesson Kim that it's never a bad time to make yourself feel better with a quick smile and click of a button (even if your sister is going to jail).

7. Learn to accept your flaws.

This hits close to home because I have had my fair share of ripped dresses because of my big butt. I've learned that it's nothing to be ashamed of because apparently having a little junk in the trunk is in! I have Khloe to thank because us big booty hoes need to stick together. Yes, I have to work out more and eat healthier than most people, but it comes with the voluptuous territory!

8. Always try new things.

Recently in the media Kylie Jenner has been receiving a lot of attention on her lips. I'm not one to judge, but her life seemed pretty perfect already so why the need for some unnecessary change? Either way she wanted to try to something new so more power to Kylie and her unnatural resting duck face!

9. Friendship goals.

If you haven't seen pictures of Kendall Jenner and her fellow super model friends and you aren't insanely jealous, you will be now. There's a 61% chance I would give my right arm to be able to travel across the world, model and crash one of Taylor Swift's concerts with them. I love my friends, but we've got nothing on Kendall and the gorgeous group of girls she calls her squad.

10. Boys can be annoying.

If anyone knows anything about boys being annoying it's Kourtney. Her and her baby daddy Scott have been on and off more times than I've watched the damn show (and that's a lot). Kudos to Kourt for trying to make it work and for being the most forgiving reality TV star EVER. It only took her nine years to realize forgiveness wasn't the key. Always remember that 99.9% of the time forgiving girls like Kourtney (and I) deserve better!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
