1. "That’s the thing about pain, it demands to be felt." –John Green from TFIOS

Through life, things will hurt you. Heartbreak, death, and everything in between will leave its mark on you. Don’t fight it. It’s normal to feel pain. But know that you can fight through it because you are resilient.

2. "In the chaotic rubble, she still remembered who she was.” – R.M. Drake

During your busy life, remember who are through it all. Don’t let life and those around you take you away from your roots. Remind yourself of your values.

3. "The worst decision anyone can make is being to afraid to make one."

Change is scary and your 20’s are the time were most of those changes happen that will affect the rest of your life. Don’t let the fear of those decisions cripple your ability to make any decisions at all.

4. "You cannot act like flip flops and expect to be treated like Louboutins."

Knowing your worth is one of the most important lessons I have learned in my life. Do not act like it is okay to let others treat you any less than what you are worth.

5. "You are either in your bed or in your shoes, so it pays to invest in both” –John Wildsmith

Even as a broke college student, take into consideration what you buy with your money. Good quality even though more expensive lasts longer, and is better than that shirt that will be out of style next season.

6. “Numbing the pain for a while will make it worse when you finally feel it.” – Albus Dumbledore

Don’t let the world make you so cold that the only way you think you can escape your problems is to numb it with drugs, alcohol, or another unhealthy method. Be stronger than that because those things often create more problems than what you already have.

7. “What makes you weird, is probably your greatest asset.” –Joss Whedom

Those things that others don’t understand about you are the greatest traits that God could ever bless you with. They make you unique and who you are. Don’t let anyone ever tell you otherwise.

8. “Don’t let what he wants eclipse what you need. He is very dreamy but he is not the sun. You are.” –Christina Yang

Relationships are important and love is a wonderful thing, but remember that you are just as important as your man. Don’t let them change who you are.

9. “I want to feel my life while I’m in it.” –Meryl Streep

When running around in life, don’t forget to live it to the fullest.

10. “But darling, in the end you’ve got to be your own hero, because everybody’s busy trying to save themselves.”

You are just as important as everyone else. You have to remember that you can’t wait around for your night in shining armor. You have to get up and be your own hero. You are the main character, so be the heroin of your story; not the damsel in distress. You are worth so much more.

Your twenties are a time of growth and selfishness. It’s a time to become who you want to be, achieve greatness, and experience as much as you can. Things may seem random and you may wonder why one thing happens after the other; but these events are molding you into the person you were always meant to be.

Just remember, when it is all said and done, you will look up at the stars and see that they have transformed into constellations.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
