Ever since One Tree Hill aired on the CW over 12 years ago, it has remained one of the most beloved shows of this generation. The unique dynamics that each character presents allows the audience to vary in unlimited ways. What makes this show unlike any other is that it has opened the hearts and minds of the viewers.

1. Always fight for yourself, even through adversity.
We've seen every character overcome huge obstacles and it has only inspired us to always push through the difficulties life throws at us.

It's easy to see what people show on their exterior, however we've seen with all of these characters that we should always keep an open mind.
4. It gets better
Everything is temporary. We've seen one extreme to another in this show and it's taught us that no pain will last forever.
5. Double standards are real.
Although we hate it, it's true. However, we've seen each strong woman in this show defeat any negativity that comes their way.
6. Believing in something is worthwhile.
When you believe, you can achieve practically anything. We've seen a countless number of times where faith and hopefulness has resulted in a favorable matter for each character.
7. We control our own destiny.
Every decision we make can affect our future. One Tree Hill has allowed us to better understand this concept by showing that every decision we make is vital.
8. It's never too late to be who you might have been.
We should all do what makes us the happiest. We've seen on a number of different occasions in the show where it doesn't matter who you are and where you are, if you want to accomplish something, you can do it.
9. Time doesn't stop for anybody.
Time keeps ticking, even when we wish we can put it on pause. We've seen that everyone grows up and things change, but that's life.
10. Be fearless.
Fear is a burden. We've seen what everyone in One Tree Hill has accomplished from being brave. We never know what tomorrow may bring, so be fearless and live for the moment.
