I spent a lot of time shopping on the internet this week while I definitely should have been doing other things but its fine. Here is some of the awesome stuff that I found.

1. Human Sling Shot

Basically, you grab three friends who you do not mind body slamming into and together you guys get in a giant rubber band and try not die. What could possibly go wrong? Seriously though, this looks like an incredible amount of fun and if anybody wants to donate one to me I will use it all the time.

2. Play-Doh

Everyone's favorite childhood toy, Play-Doh allowed us to embrace our inner sculptor while also being super fun to play with. On top of that, it is so relaxing to squeeze.

3. Adult Coloring Book

I have two of these and I used them a lot right after I had my wisdom teeth removed. They are awesome for killing time because you get really invested in them. You'd be surprised how satisfying they can be.

4. Mazooka: The Marshmallow Bazooka

For when a mere marshmallow gun just will not get the job done. You never know when you will need to launch a full-sized marshmallow at a friend or rival.

6. Orbeez

These little balls come to you in hard little seeds that you soak in water and they grow into bouncy little balls. I got these for my birthday one year and yes, they are just as fun as they look like. They are squishy and slimy and oh so satisfying to hold in your hands. If you are tactile at all: you need these.

7. Nerf Gun

Picture this, its Christmas morning (or any other holiday you celebrate) and the entire family opens up Nerf Guns: prepare for the best Christmas morning ever.

8. Unicorn Popper

Just look at this little guy! Who does not want to shoot rainbows at their friends with a satisfying little pop sound.

There is nothing about this that is not awesome. I want to blow one up. I want to kick one. I want to try to climb on top of one. I want to try to play real soccer with this.

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
