Living in a region where you experience the cold can always be a major pain; from shoveling 3 feet of snow, to frozen car doors, to icy walk ways. If you are not a winter person, here is how you can beat the winter blues.

1. Stay Indoors

Staying indoors during cold weather keeps the chill out of your bones, and prevents you from getting sick. You can get a lot done during these cold months, such as clean out that storage closet that you've been meaning to clean out for years.

2. Make a fire

If you have a fireplace and some spare logs of wood, try constructing your own fire. This will keep you toasty warm while you enjoy the scenic view of the snow falling outside. Sitting by the fire while ignoring the freezing outside world can help relax your body.

3. Add Layers

By adding layers, you are adding heat to your body to warm up. Keeping warm is the key to getting through winter in a healthy manner. Try wearing a few layers of clothes when traveling outdoors, you will be amazed at the difference an extra pair of socks can make!

4. Cuddle

Whether it is with that special someone, a friend, pet, child, or other family member, cuddling warms up the participants with body heat. This could be a great time to watch that movie that you've put off watching, or it could be used as a time to catch up with your cuddle buddy.

5. Wrap up in blankets

Along with adding layers, you could add blankets if you are just relaxing at home enjoying a lazy day. The more blankets you have on you, the warmer you will be!

6. Get Active

It is proven that a body in motion gets the blood flowing which makes your body temperature heat up. You can either bundle up and go for a nice jog outside, or you can do a simple indoor workout routine.

7. Enjoy some quality family time

The winter season is the perfect time to reconnect with family members whom you haven't seen in awhile. While sitting around indoors, find out what your family members have been up to!

8. Read a Good Book

Everyone has that one book they've always been meaning to read but just haven't gotten around to. Well, Here is your prime time! Using the colder months, spend the time catching up on the reading you haven't done during the warmer months!

9. Get Together With Old Friends

Remember those friends you haven't spoken to in years? Call some of them up and see if you can arrange for a reunion! See what your old buddies have been up to and get your spirits up.

10. Have fun!

Just because it is cold, does not mean you can't have fun! Bundle up and play in the snow with the kids, play games inside, or even take a trip to somewhere you've never been. Use the holiday break as an excuse to go on vacation in a warmer environment. Spend the weekend catching up with family, organizing the house, or even starting a new workout routine!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
