So I've been to a lot of concerts to know the ins and outs. I'll give you some tips and tricks to ensure that you'll have the best time at the concert.
1. Learn every lyric
Well...not every lyric, but most. It is an endless struggle to attempt to learn the lyrics for the first time. You don't want to be the only one in the crowd not singing along.
2. Pick out an outfit
This is a must. It's always fun to dress your best for concerts. You want to make sure you won't be too hot (if it's general admission), or you're not too underdressed.
3. Know the venue
If you know how big or small the venue is, you can prepare accordingly. For example, if you have a general admission ticket and the venue is small, you'll know not to bring a backpack. Also prepare accordingly and use the bathroom before the concert begins so you don't have to leave your spot in the middle of the concert.
4. Check merch prices
If you know you really want to buy merch, then look up the prices ahead of time so you won't find out at the concert that you can't afford that one t-shirt you were eyeing.
5. Bring ear plugs
**This one's for the dads**
6. Bring a portable charger!
You don't want to forget this one. Your battery WILL run out fast if you're constantly taking pictures/videos and snaps. Make sure you're prepared so your phone doesn't die mid-concert.
7. Delete, delete, delete
It's incredibly tragic when you want to capture a moment at a concert and you can't because there's no more storage on your phone. I've been there, and it was not fun when I frantically had to delete just about everything on my phone during the concert. Videos take up A LOT of storage, so plan accordingly.
8. Stay hydrated
The day of the concert drink lots of water- before and during. It's not fun when you're dehydrated at a concert.
9. Don't be late
Know when you're getting there. Most doors open for concerts an hour before the concert starts- make sure to get there on time or early. If it's general admission get there before the doors open to get the best spot and have time to get whatever you need.
10. Know how you're gonna get there
Check train times, check parking, put the venue in the GPS. Whatever it is you need to do, make sure you know how far away the venue is, when you have to leave, and most importantly know how you're gonna get there.
