10 Times To Watch 'Friends'

"Friends" is one of the most popular series that I know of. I make "Friends" references every day, and almost everyone understands them. It is a true blessing when I can find someone who loves "Friends" as much as I do. I watch "Friends" over and over again, and even sometimes I will watch it for a reason. Here are some reasons for you to watch "Friends".

1. When you are trying to decide what to do with the rest of your life: "The One with Christmas in Tulsa."

2. When you are actively looking for love: The One with Ross's Wedding Part I & II."

Even if it takes getting married and divorced three times.

3. When you have a crappy job that you hate, but it relates to your future career by 2%.

Monica was a waitress in a diner and she had to wear roller-skates. At one point, her fake boob caught on fire, but she kept her crappy job because she knew she would be a chef one day. Or when Rachel had to sort through a billion hangers that were jumbled together because she was in fashion.

4. When you and your best friends are single: "The One with All the Wedding Dresses."

So your brothers sends you to pick up her wedding dress, and later that day you and your two best friends are laying around in puffy white dresses drinking beer and eating popcorn, which is perfectly acceptable.

5. When you run out of your wedding "The One Where Monica Gets a Roommate."

If you are like Ross, you will marry anyone. If you are like Rachel, you will escape out the bathroom window before you have to walk down the isle, and only get married in Vegas when you are too drunk to remember.

6. When you are struggling with life, but you’re fine: "The One Where Ross is Fine."

Did someone eat your Thanksgiving leftover sandwich? Did you lose your cool at work? Did your best friend start dating the woman you are madly in love with? Did you burn your hand on the skillet full of fajitas? But you’re fine, right?

7. When you miss your best friend: "The One Where Joey Moves Out."

You may share an apartment with your best friend, then one of you move out. You want to be happy, but it is hard when you miss them so much.

8. When you are going on a trip to London: "The One with Ross’s Wedding Part I and II."

Maybe you are going for your second wedding, maybe you’re going for someone’s wedding, but it is an opportunity to see new things. Grab you a hat and step into your map, and enjoy your trip.

9. When you need a laugh: "The One with the Truth About London."

Any episode is good for a laugh, but one of my personal favorites is when Rachel teaches Ben a lot of tricks that he can pull on people.

10. When you need to cry "The Last One: Part 1 & Part 2."

The hardest part of "Friends" is the ending. You will cry like a baby after 10 seasons (10 seasons on Netflix, 6 seasons on DVD) of watching each character grow and change.

Through the many laughs that this series has provided me and many of my friends, it will always be one of my favorite shows. I will always fall asleep to it each night because I do not have to be watching the show, but I know what is going on and which episode it is just by listening.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
