Taylor Swift is without a doubt, hands down, no questions asked my favorite singer, and anyone who even kinda knows me knows that single fact. It adds to my basic personality, sure, but I tend to find her super relatable and comforting. Plus, she can easily cheer me up and get me excited about something new.

Lately, it seems as though a lot of people around me have been going through different break ups, problems or they are trying to find themselves, maybe even a combination of the three. Because of this, I have found myself listening to Taylor Swift's music even more so than before.

While I gained a lot from listening to her in general, I also picked up on how she is the cutest human alive. Since she has been in the media a lot lately (and not just for having the coolest all girl squad in Hollywood), I thought I would compile a list of life lessons, attitudes or any times she just plain understood what you're going through at any moment for anyone who needs it.

1. When your friend is settling for someone.

We all know someone who could totally do better than whomever they are currently dating, want to be dating or dream of dating. While you can't say anything to them, this is literally all you are feeling on the inside (and maybe talking about with your other friends).

2. When you're really feeling yourself.

This feeling always comes on a good day. It could be you aced that paper, they have your favorite dinner in the dining hall or you just are really digging your outfit of the day. Regardless of all that, everyday you're awesome.

3. When all of your bottled up emotions pop.

Here comes three hours of waterworks. You are actually crying about everything under the sun. From the boy who took your crayon in first grade, to your dog dying and everything in between.

4. When you find out someone is talking about you.

This is sometimes a gut reaction, but you still feel like you need to take them down as only Catastrophe can.

6. When you are just so darn proud of yourself, and you must give yourself some praise.

Yes, you did just shut that girl down or do well on that test. Sometimes you just own life and when those times happen, honey you just gotta pat yourself on the back (or curtsey, that's just as good).

7. When you just have to laugh at yourself.

It could have just happened, or you found out what you did Saturday night, but laughing at yourself is one the great joys in life. Update: there is humor in EVERYTHING, even if you don't see it right away.

8. When you totally accept yourself.

The day you can accept any truth about yourself and shrug it off is a great day.

9. When you are just watching your life crumble before your very eyes.

You feel like crying, screaming and melting into a puddle but you just have to sit there and take it all in. On the inside (and probably the outside too), this is the exact face you're making 24/7.

10. Finally,

This quote is saved for last because you can feel all of the emotions above, make mistakes and have awful days, but these are what build you. Everyone should really carry this quote with them because once you accept yourself, nothing is standing in your way.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
