Not all heroes are human.

Everyone has a comfort food they run to in sickness, sadness, and even happiness. With finals week approaching, pizzerias in college towns across the country are about to make serious bank. In pizza I have found a forever friend, a safe place where my stress and summer body are far, far away. Here are 10 trying times when pizza can turn your bad day into a blessed one.

1. When you fail your test

There's nothing like walking out of test knowing you guessed on 75 percent of it. So what if you might get put on academic probation and have to move home to live with your parents for the rest of your life? You can tweet the pizza emoji, and your favorite cheesy delight is instantly being made.

2. When you get broken up with

Let's just be really honest here, getting dumped is a great reason to eat a whole pizza by yourself. No one will judge you for it while your drowning in you sorrows. Just be sure to hit the gym next week so you get back at your ex by getting hotter.

3. When your cat doesn't actually love you

This should not come as a surprise, but I'll let you down easy in case it does. Your cat is plotting to kill you and take over the world. Eat a slice or two while you wait for the inevitable.

4. When trying to be social is the last thing you want to deal with right now

We've all been there. After listening to your professors drone on and on all day, who really wants to go to a crowded restaurant and risk seeing someone that annoys you? Not me, not never.

5. When you suck at cooking

It's OK to be awful at something. It's unfortunate when being awful at something can lead to starvation. Thank goodness for take and bake and learning how to properly use an oven one step at a time.

6. When no one has been nice to you all day

For a small fee, a nice person with a hot pizza will show up at your doorstep! Doesn't get much nicer than that.

7. When you've only eaten salad and grilled chicken for the last week

Eating healthy has its perks like more energy, weight loss, and higher metabolism, but it can get really old, really fast. Next time you find yourself craving a slice go ahead and do yo thang; Jesus still loves you and you can always get right back on your diet.

8. When you're Netflixing without a snack

I hope this never happens to you, I hope you always have snacks on hand while you watch a season every night. In case you ever get caught off guard, have no fear. Fifteen seconds is plenty of time to order a pizza before the next episode starts.

9. When it's finals week and you've spent 72 hours in the library

"Yes, can you deliver to the fourth floor of the university library? I'll tip extra." If Ellen can get them to deliver to the Oscars, you should be able to get them to delver to the library.

10. When its time to celebrate

Pizza can be positive too! Nothing says, "Congrats on surviving another year of college!" like a couple of empty pizza boxes and a couple of good friends.

Overall pizza can successfully turn anyone's day around or just make it 10 times better. Next time you feel any sort of emotion, feel free to join me and grab a slice.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
