Ah, summer vacation. A time for relaxation and downtime to be spent with your friends and family that you have been a part from for the past 9 months. But, the best part of summer vacation is the reunion between you and your beloved dog. That's right, that four-legged creature that you never knew you could miss so much. Now, you may have missed him, but I can guarantee that he has probably missed you more. As you walk in through those doors with all of your suitcases and bins from college, your dog's eyes get big, tail perks up, and he begins to realize, "Holy moly, she's home from school!!" Here are 8 thoughts that go through your dog's head when he realizes you're home for the summer.
1. "Im so excited she's home I could pee!" "Oh wait...I just did."
We all love that beautiful first greeting you have with your dog. Until you realize you now get to clean up pee off of the floor.
2. "Did you miss my slobber?!" "If not, here's some more."
Dog loving is all fun in games until you're covered in drool.
3. "I can't stop spinning in circles." "I hope she realizes this means I'm happy to see her."
This one explains itself, that overjoyed spinning in circles that becomes a little too much after a while.
4. "HAHA you want to put your things down?" "That's funny...pet me."
All our dogs are such attention wh**es! Like excuse me, but this is my house again.
5. "I hope you don't mind if I follow you right on your heels. It's just been SO long."
From the moment we walk through the door our dogs are glued to us until we leave for school again. So, get used to your new summer accessory!
6. "Can we go for a walk now that you're back like right now??" "PLEASE?"
Because let's be real, all dogs really care about is being petted and getting walked.
7. "I can't wait to have so many sleepovers in your bed again!" "Just like old times!"
Oh, and if you got used to sleeping in your bed alone, get used to having a furry companion back in your bed for the length of the summer. Snuggle up.
8. "I really am so excited to see you." "I love and missed you!"
At the end of the day, we all are so thrilled to be united with our peeing, drooling, furry friends.
