1. Where did all of my money go?
You know it. I know it. Every single one of us had planned on saving up money all summer long for the fall semester, but we ended up spending it on numerous trips to Forever 21 and Taco Bell. Don't even get me started on how much cash was spent at Sephora.
2. Dues, dues, DUES
I knew I was forgetting something. I haven't paid those yet? I SWORE that I was going to pay those off before I went back to school.
3. I need more "going out" clothes
You are already planning out outfits in your head for your first weekend of frat parties and the bars. You realize that you have NOTHING to wear. Is it too late to waste money at the mall buying more heels that I know I'll regret wearing out and wind up having JJ spilled all over them?
4. RECRUITMENT IS COMING
For some of us, this is exciting. For others, we feel like we are going to fall over or vomit. Endless hours of smiling until our cheeks hurt and wearing heels are just around the corner.
5. Can it be Bid Day already?
Bid Day is like an early Christmas. You are already picturing the day when all of the new members run home to the chapter house. Tears will be shed and several hundred pictures will be taken. You already have a list of possible clever Instagram captions for this special day.
6. You are constanty dreaming of getting your little/grand little
Who doesn't like an automatic BFF? You seem to be imagining how perfect your family is going to be once your little or grand little comes along. You are ready to introduce her to your favorite frats and what places have the best food at 2 a.m.
7. Maybe I should make a trip to Hobby Lobby and start crafting
You promised yourself that you would start on crafts by now, but then you got distracted by 756 hours of Netflix. Or for some of us, we started on several different decorative paddles, but we never had the energy to wait for the paint to dry and finish them. Eh, I'll just finish it some other time.
8. Another year, another thousand more frat shirt
WHO DOESN'T LOVE T-SHIRTS? Especially t-shirts that show off your most-loved fraternities. Did you say that it came in comfort colors? Put my name down.
9. Time to represent by wearing letters every day during the first week of classes
Backpack with my letters on it? Check. Baseball hat with my letters on it? Check. Cute, comfy t-shirt with my letters on it? Check. Are you sure that it's not a little too much for my first day of class? Of course not.
Finally, one thought I know all of us have for sure
10. I cannot wait to be reunited with my sisters
Our excitement grows every day as school gets closer and closer. Summer has felt like a decade. We cannot wait to finally be back with all of our sisters and start a new year filled with new memories.
