10 Things You Should Tell Your Younger Sister Everyday, But Don't
Briana Mitchell

Younger sisters are most definitely a blessing, sometimes in disguise (kidding), and there are several things all younger sisters should be told every day.

10. I love you!

From day one you have been my rock, my partner in crime, and best friend. I cannot imagine having a better sister or friend to have in my corner. I don't tell you nearly enough that I love you--partly because you'll be a brat and won't say it back--but also because I figure you just always know. Well, here it is...I love you, sis!

9. You mean the world to me!

The bond we share as sisters is something I cherish every single day, and you should know this. Between all of our ridiculous fights and dinner dates, you are my favorite person in the world to spend time with. And I mean that.

8. Thanks For Having My Back!

As the older sister, it is my job to keep you safe, have your back, and stand up for you when you're in trouble, but since we were little you have always had my back. Whether I was in trouble with mom or dad or going through something you had me.

7. I miss you!

Me moving away, and you going to college makes me miss you more than usual. I miss coming home and goofing off with you all summer long and just doing whatever we wanted. I always had you to do something spontaneous with and I definitely miss that.

6. Thanks For Always Being There!

Through thick and thin you have been there. Whether I had a hard exam I didn't think I did well on or other personal issues going on, you were there for me. You always reassured me I did fine or tried to give me any advice you could give. So, thanks for always being there.

5. Thanks for being my ride or die!

You have ALWAYS been down to do whatever I wanted to do (even if we both knew it was a bad idea). We certainly did things mom and dad advised us not to do, and faced the punishment together. Thanks for always being my ride or die and partner in crime.

4. I Am Lucky To Have You

This is something I never say, but I should. I am extremely and unbelievably lucky to have you, not only as my sister but as my best friend. If I ever need something, I know you are there. I always have you to talk to and I'm so blessed for that.

3. Thanks For Being My Shoulder To Cry On

You have always had my back, no matter what it was. I know of countless times that you have been there for me when I thought the world was coming to an end. I am so appreciative of always having you as my shoulder to cry on.

2. Thank You For Sharing All Our Childhood Memories!

My favorite memories are hands down from growing up with you. From dance recitals to softball games and swimming in our Barney pool in the front yard, I'm thankful to have shared those with you. Growing up together was by far the best thing that has ever happened to me. The memories we made are memories I will carry with me forever, and hopefully pass down to our children someday.

1. Thank You For Always Being My Best Friend!!!

Despite our crazy fights and disagreements, you have always been my best friend. You are always there, you tell me when I'm overreacting, you tell me when to shut up, and you stand up for me. We have been through so much in our short lives and I am lucky to have shared all of it with you. You are my absolute best friend. Thanks mom and dad, for giving me a sister and a best friend (even though I was less than thrilled when you were born)!

To all little sisters everywhere, we love you, even if we don't show it. We appreciate having you around and we are so lucky!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
