If you’ve ever lived with roommates, you know that they become family away from home, and they're the people that end up being there for you.
Here are 10 things that you've said, say constantly or—somewhere down the road—will say to your fellow roommate:
1) "Uh, can you please get rent?"
2) "Wait, who’s food is this?"
3) "Can you take your clothes out of the dryer? I need to use it."
4) "We should probably go grocery shopping soon."
5) What happened to my favorite shirt?
I don’t know how many times I have gotten into my closest and the shirt I was going to wear is missing. I walk down the hallway to my roommate's room and it's sitting on her bed.
6) "No! I’m not going to help you get ready."
This typically happens on the weekend. You can't leave the house without at least one roommate seeing your outfit and approving!
7) "Don’t change the channel I’m watching that."
8) "Can you get me that (*insert item you're too lazy to get)?"
9) "Don’t touch that, it's mine."
We all have something that our roommates know not to touch. Leave it alone please!
10) "Come on, you're going with me."
I don’t care if I'm just running to Target; you're coming.
But the most important thing to say to our roommate, we tend to forget: Thank you for being there for me when I need it most!
