I'd take growing up with brothers over sisters any day. So, here are 10 things you understand if you, like me, grew up with brothers.

1. You can definitely take a hit

There were probably one or two occasions when you had to engage in a bit of fisticuffs with your brothers. No big deal, you learned how to fend for yourself early on.

2. You always had a sweatshirt to wear

Why steal a boyfriend's sweatshirt that you may just end up giving back when you could steal all your brother's t-shirts and sweatshirts?

3. They are the end-all, say-all on boys

If you bring a new boyfriend home and your brothers don't like him, you don't have a new boyfriend anymore. Their opinion on boys matters. After all, they just want what's best for you.

4. You were forced into sports at a young age.

It was probably just easier for your parents to drop you all off at the soccer field on a Saturday instead of having to take one kid to football, one to soccer and one to ballet.

5. Attitudes did not fly in your house

You absolutely were not going to get away with having a snotty attitude. Your brothers were going to shut that down real fast.

6. You were forced to watch sports

Oh, sorry, did you have a show to watch on a Sunday in the Fall? Not going to happen. Sundays were reserved for football and you better have had another television to watch your show on or you were going to be watching the Steelers game for a few hours.

7. You always had someone to defend you.

Your brothers definitely were always down to defend you, and still are.

8. You constantly had to worry about getting hurt

When the only thing to do on a summer day was play football with your brothers in the yard, you were going to have to accept that it came with a few minor cuts and bruises.

9. You always had fashion help

Believe it or not, some guys have an awesome sense of fashion. Some of the best compliments I've received on outfits were confirmed by one of my brothers before I left the house.

10. Now, you understand men a little better

Growing up with brothers definitely helped you grasp a better understanding on how a typical man thinks.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
