Regardless of if you started dancing at a young age, or not until later on, you never thought the day would come where it would come to an end. It was such a huge part of your life and everything is a little different without it. Here are some of the things that will happen when you finish dancing.
1. Learning to count past eight

2. Finding a new way to exercise and stay in shape
Dancing is the ultimate workout. You work every part of your body and actually have fun while doing it. Now you're telling me I'm supposed to find joy in running on a treadmill?
3. So much free time
When you're not in the studio for the majority of the week you realize there is a whole world out there filled with tv shows to binge watch.
4. Losing all the flexibility you spent years gaining

5. You have a ton of makeup and leotards that will be great to use for Halloween
After years of dancing your stage makeup, collection is bigger and stranger than your everyday makeup bag. And there are just so many leotards; black, white, red, some with sequins.
6. When you see your dance friends you'll all be wearing normal clothes and doing non-dance things.
It's always a weird feeling seeing your dance friends in anything other than spandex shorts and tights.
7. You'll have to find a new way to make friends
Speaking of friends, dance is where you made a majority of them. Once you stop and enter the world you'll realize that not everyone loves dancing just as much as you. You may need to find a new way to relate to them..but what?
8. Returning to your studio and seeing new faces
9. You'll miss the weekends spent at competitions with your team

10. You will miss dancing, end of story
You will miss it all. You will miss the rehearsals, the performances, the costumes, the lights, the classes, the teachers and the shoes. Dancing around in your room just doesn't give you the same satisfaction as dancing up on stage does. You'll look back on your old days of dancing as you 'glory days' and always want to go back.
