10 Things That Happen When You're A Twin.
Rachel Robertson

If you're a twin, you know the simple, unique things that happen throughout your life that doesn't happen to anyone else. You share a birthday, you have a certain bond that no one else can relate to, and you grow up together in the same environment. It's an amazing experience that you may not cherish at first, but as you grow older you start to realize how much of a gift having someone so close to you is. Fraternal or Identical, every twin could relate to this list in different ways.

1. Identical or not, your parents dressed you in the same clothing.

It was probably a really annoying idea at the time, but you look back now and see how cute the two of you were.

2. You were called your twin's name a total of 50 times a day.

I don't live with my parents anymore and they still call me by my twin's first name frequently.

3. Growing up, there was two of everything.

Everything came in two, just so it wouldn't end in a screaming, hair pulling, and name calling disaster over a toy.

4. You are very protective of your twin.

You could beat up each other all you want but to this day you still get defensive if someone else tries to mess with the other.

5. On your birthday it isn't "My Day" it is "Our Day".

You both had to decide on what kind of birthday party you wanted, what type of cake, and who you wanted to invite. You hated sharing a birthday when you were little, but now it's a special day that celebrates the both of you.

6. You know them better than anyone.

Growing up, you knew what their favorite activities were, you knew what they were thinking when they made a certain face, and you definitely felt like you could tell what they were going to say before they even said it. Twin telepathy maybe?

7. You miss them more and more the older you get.

You got annoyed with them growing up, but there are times where you really wish they were there with you.

8. People are 'shocked' when you tell them you have a twin.

What? Have you never met twins before?

9. When people find out you're a twin, you get the dreaded, "Who's the Evil Twin?" more times than you'd like to count.

This is an annoying question but It's definitely not me...

10. No matter where you two go in life, you will always have an undescribable bond with one another.

Thanks for being there for me when times are rough, and always being one of my biggest cheerleaders.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
