It can be pretty intimidating meeting your boyfriend's family for the first time. You put on makeup, but not too much, try on ten different outfits and decide every single one isn't going to work and finally decide (begrudgingly) on the eleventh. You practice over and over in your head what your first words to them are going to be and by the time you finally get there and say hello it feels like reciting a speech. You worry over every single detail of your life because you fear any little revelation will deem you unworthy of being with their son. Once that unpleasantness is out of the way some of us are lucky enough to fall head over heels in love all over again, but this time it's with his family. Here are ten things that happen when you love your boyfriend's family.

1. You look for any little excuse to go to his house for a weekend, for a day, or even for a few hours.

I'm lucky enough that my boyfriend's family is just an hour's drive from our school, so my excuses seem to get flimsier by the day. "Babe get in the truck, your mom made chili for dinner."

2. You text his family more than he does.

If they need to know where he is or what you guys are up to they text you. Whether you are having an ethical dilemma or he just did something really sweet and you need to tell them about it, they're your go to. I text his mom and sister more than I text my own mom and sister.

3. You honestly look forward to the day they become your in-laws.

Whoever started the "evil in-laws" thing, I pity you. Mine are going to be awesome and then I'll have two amazing families to love and celebrate with.

4. When you do something noteworthy, they are at the top of the list of people you tell.

You want their love and support just as much as your own family and you know they are going to be happy for you too.

5. When Christmas time rolls around, you could easily go broke trying to buy presents for them.

All you want is to give them the world, but your bank account says maybe just give them a postcard of the world. You just have to tell yourself it's the thought that counts, and then piggyback on all of his presents.

6. If they don't like someone, you don't like them either.

You really don't even need a solid reason, because anyone that can get on the bad side of such wonderful people can't be any good. If they've been wronged in any way you have to stop yourself from seeking out revenge because no one messes with your family.

7. You can be yourself around them.

All that posturing that occurs when you meet them for the first time goes right out the window. You know they love you and that you make him happy, so no need to be anyone but yourself. This also means you aren't afraid to speak your mind around them, and chances are they love that too.

8. When you are out and about with the family, you dominate his end of the conversation.

Ok, he's told them how school and work are going, now it's your turn. Only your turn lasts the rest of the evening and you're not even sorry about it.

9. You tell him so much that you love his family, he's starting to get annoyed.

"Look at this picture of your sister she just posted! She's so gorgeous and I love her." Sound familiar? It definitely does to him, but secretly he's happy about it because he thinks so too.

10. They love you back!

Chances are, if you love them this much, they love you too. And there is no better feeling than reciprocated love.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
