They have your back, no matter what.

10 Things That Happen When You Live With Your Best Friends

College is a time that a lot of young adults learn to live alone. Some adults can live with whoever and make it work. Some people live with their friends and have problems but some of us are a little luckier. Here is my list of things that happen when you live with your best friends.

1. Once one person is sick, everyone is sick.

Good luck. Once one of your roommates is sick, it's bound to get to you eventually. Stock up on disinfecting wipes and don't you dare share the same glass.

2. You learn each others insecurities.

Before living with these people, I never realized that they had insecurities. They were so confident and so close to perfect in my eyes. Turns out, everyone really does have things that they are insecure about. Good thing roommates are also really good at picking you up when you get into a funk.

3. You never have a boring grocery shopping experience.

Grocery shopping for four different people becomes a grand adventure. The cart becomes hard to push, the cashier is confused, and the other people in the store are definitely annoyed that it took us five minutes to pick out the bread we wanted. For us, it was a bonding experience.

4. You have a free therapist.

Okay, maybe those aren't the "right" words. You always have someone that is going to listen to you if you need it. Sometimes you might even have three other people there to listen. They give the best advice because they actually care about the outcome.

5. The dance parties/jam sessions are endless.

Beyonce? Fergie? Britney? Who knows who it is going to be but the neighbors are going to hate our singing and the Snapchat videos are going to come in an abundance. I don't care what anyone thinks, we just really like to sing and dance.

6. There is always someone that is going to be brutally honest with you.

Whether you want them to be honest or not, they are going to tell you exactly what they think about your outfit. They are even going to tell you if you are going after the boy that is going to break your heart. They are also going to call you out for something completely ridiculous that you are doing; you'll appreciate it in the end because they really do know what they are talking about.

7. You become more comfortable with who you are.

I never thought I would be comfortable walking around with no make up and my hair in a rats nest but in the morning, I don't really have a choice. Thanks for putting up with me like a champ and never judging my "sleeping beauty" look in the morning. Thanks to them, I am more comfortable with who I am.

8. There is never a dull moment at dinner time.

There are four people trying to fry their food and use the toaster and the kitchen is not that big. This turns into a straight up sitcom in the kitchen as we all end up stepping on each others toes and wanting what they are making for dinner instead of what we made. Also, what is that burning smell?

9. You have someone to binge watch the game show network and bake cookies with you.

Or, in other words, you just always have someone that enjoys doing the same things as you and even if it's 11:00 at night, they are totally okay with watching the 12th episode of Family Feud with you.

10. There is always a smiling face to come home to.

No matter how your day went, you always have loving people to return home to. Chances are, they are going to make you laugh, watch your favorite movie with you, maybe even cook you dinner. There is nothing better than returning home and seeing the people that love you.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
