When Christmas break comes to a close, coming back to school and getting in to your usual routine can become tough. Even though you might say that being home drives you crazy, everyone can agree that it ends up we miss being at home.
1. Missing that home cooking.
When "Thanks Mom" slips from your lips as the cafeteria lady brings out the bin of spicy chicken. *That's embarrassing.
2. Starting the spring break count down.
The only reason to even move back in for spring semester is because your phone screen saver is counting down the hours till spring break.
3. Having to get up early.
Ugh, you hear that annoying beeping sound in your dream? Jokes on you. It's actually your alarm reminding you you're an adult.
4. Being Grandma's favorite grandchild.
When Grandma takes you shopping at Urban Outfitters instead of your usual Old Navy Sale rack adventure.
5. What's mine is yours, right?
After having a huge room all to yourself for a whole month, you go back to your 12 by 12 with your roommate.
6. Having no free time to get anything done.
All your school work overrides your Pinterest addiction, and you slowly start having withdrawals.
7. Crying at the expense of personal hygiene.
You know you have a problem when your find yourself dreaming of using someone else's toilet paper so you do not have to use your own at your expense.
8. Missing your favorite cuddle buddy.
Realizing that when you wake up, your stuffed monkey is tucked under your arm instead of your fluffy dog.
9. Having your mother wait on you hand and foot.
"Hey mom! Will you get me some chips? They always taste better when you get them."
10. On the bright side, at least you're with your friends.
Being away from your best friends for a month is a long time, but when you get back, you can never leave each other again.
Don't worry, you will have your time to be back at home before you know it. Until then, stay strong. Your mom will still be there to cook you food, but the cafeteria lady will have to do for now. Remember, college loves you.
