When you spend your entire life in an extremely warm climate (i. e Hawai’i) and then move to an extremely cold climate (i.e New York), your body reacts way differently to temperature. Everyone you talk to makes fun of your inability to handle the lower temperatures and questions why you ever moved. In the beginning, it seems fine, but as time goes on (and the temperatures get lower) you start to freak out a little bit. Here are ten things that happen when you change climates.
1. People telling you that it gets cold and you make fun of them because you totally think you can handle it:
2. But then it reaches below the 50s and you prepare to go outside like this:
3. Then your friends tell you it’s only going to get colder:
4. So you keep at least five blankets on you at all times:
5. Sometimes you forget that it’s cold outside so you go out in slippers and a tank top:
6. And you shower for an extra 45 minutes because that is the only place where it’s warm:
7. But then it snows and the excitement level is so real and all your friends think you're crazy:
8. Except after being outside for only 20 minutes, you can no longer feel your face so you go running back inside:
9. Sometimes you remember that it’s probably in the 80s where you’re from:
10. And then you realize how badly you screwed up by moving:
