This is in no way meant to be rude. It is not that type of an article. This article is meant to enlighten and make our jobs a bit easier. Sephora is a candy land for adults. It's a wonderful place to work, as well. We have our own lingo: cast members are employees, clients are customers, costumes are work uniforms, the stage is the sales floor, directors are managers, worlds are the different parts of Sephora (Color, Fragrance, Skin/Hair).

These are ten things that every cast member wishes clients knew:

1. If you buy an item at a Sephora in JcPenny and then return it at a freestanding Sephora, it counts against you.

We don't have access to their systems, so we count it as a return without a receipt, which you're only allowed a certain amount.

2. We use a third-party service that many retailers use.

Return too much and we will deny the return. We have no choice, so please don't get mad at us when it happens.

3. Testers aren't sanitized.

We sanitize them before and after use, but people touch them, wipe them on their hands (swatch them). Therefore, when you grab them and just put them on - you don't know where it's been. Also anything with a wand (lipgloss, mascara) we have one-use wands for. If you need help or are confused - ask a cast member we would love to help keep everything as sanitary as possible.

4. 3 samples per world.

We love to make samples for clients that actually are thinking of purchasing. But please don't be that person that comes in for a specific product each time, because you don't want to buy it. We do notice you and all it does it waste our time. We will give you less product each time.

5. If you have a gift card - fantastic! If it says JcPenny on the front, freestanding Sephoras can't take them.

We're just not allowed in their systems. Please don't get mad at us when we tell you we can't take them. It isn't our fault.

6. Those people who buy to use it once and return it and do this constantly (not just once or twice, we understand somethings don't work out!), we remember you.

The people who buy things, use it once, return it, to buy more product you'll use once and return, we remember you. It's a waste of a product because unlike other stores, we can't put it out again. We have to damage it out. We can't use it as testers either because it goes against our policy. It's a waste of a product. If you want to try a liquid product, we are happy to make samples.

7. Those who buy products and return products just to get to Rouge status, no longer can you.

Our new system allows us to take away points for each return. If you return something every once in a while, this won't hurt you. But, if you buy just to return and get the points, sorry, not going to work anymore.

8. Take the survey.

We don't work off of commission. But, if you take the survey it goes directly to the store so we can improve on how we do. If you had a really great time let us know! If someone was incredible - give them a shout out, so that we can let them know they're doing great. If you're experience wasn't satisfactory - please tell us how to improve. Plus, you have an opportunity to win a Sephora gift card!

9. When you pick up a product, please put it back exactly where you found it.

It was there for a reason. When you pick it up and put it back wherever, the next client will pick it up thinking it's the right color they want. Cast members don't have all the time in the world (we wish we did) to re-do each display. So please be considerate and put it back where you picked it up from.

10. If you have any questions, never hesitate to ask us.

It's our jobs and it's what we like to do. We learn about products so most likely we know cool things about them. If we don't know, we'll find someone who does.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
