Finals Week, the week we thought might actually kill us, is now over. So now that you've all breathed a sigh of relief and had numerous weights lifted off your shoulder, the summer fun can begin. Of course after you've packed and unpacked and got all the internships squared away. Other than having to adult now, everything should be all fun in the sun! Try to relax these next few months and reflect on all that you have accomplished. To help you relax check out this list of all the stuff you're NOT going to miss while on break from school.
1. The School Work
I think this one goes without saying. The next time you find yourself awake at three a.m. it won't be because of the massive amounts of homework you have.
2. Early Morning Lectures
As if paying attention in lecture wasn't hard enough, the professor only holds the lecture at one time: 8:30. Now you can sleep in as late as you want, unless your internship or summer job prevents that.
3. The Professor You Hated
His grading scale seemed questionable and he didn't speak English very well but now you never have to deal with him again!
4. Dining Court Food
Sure it might've been good for the first few months, but as the end of the second semester rolled around you were begging for a home cooked meal.
5. The Terrible Internet Access
It sure is nice to scroll through Twitter without having to re-connect to the internet every five minutes.
6. Community Bathrooms
Having a bathroom all to yourself this summer is the best thing since sliced bread. Better make it last until you have to return to the dorms next semester.
7. The Tiny Bedrooms
If you didn't know your roommate very well before college started you sure do now. Embrace the personal space you have while you're home.
8. Walking Everywhere
Even if you did have a car on campus there wasn't a lot of space to drive it around in. Driving around your hometown will be a relief- though your fitbit might wonder what the heck happened.
9. The Smelly Trees on Campus
No you did not step in dog poop; it's just the trees. Seriously someone needs to take care of this before next year.
10. Navigating Through Tour Groups
I swear you only got stuck behind one when you were late to class. This is also caused by number 8.
While you will miss your friends, roommate, and maybe even some of your classes; you know you won't miss the aforementioned things. So spend the whole summer celebrating the fact that you survived college and, hopefully, passed your classes. Enjoy your freedom from gross bathrooms, sub-par food, and hard exams while you can; in a few short months you'll be back trying to survive the mess that is college.
