If those faces don't completely melt your heart, you probably need to get your eyes checked out. These are my dogs Ava Grace (on the right) and Loretta (on the left). If you're anything like me, you are obsessed with dogs... any dogs. Your dogs, your families dogs, your neighbors dogs, and even the dog you see being walked in the park. I'm sure you'll be able to relate to these 10 things you feel when you're obsessed with dogs.

1. You cannot go into your local animal shelters

Nope. Not happening ever, unless I can take them all home with me, I'm not going.

2. ASPCA commercials are the most heartbreaking thing you've ever seen.

Unless you've got a big box of tissues, lot's of ice cream, and a huge amount of money to send, you change the channel. Not to mention, the music screams sadness.

3. Not being able to pet a service dog makes your heart sad.

Nothing against them, we love service dogs! We just want to love them and tell them how awesome they are and give them so much attention.

4. Puppies!

Puppies are the best. They're so little and cute and melt my heart. Not to mention their little bites with their sharp teeth and puppy breath.. need I say more?!

5. Christmas is never the same again.

I'm not sure how relatable this is, but when I got Ava and Loretta, I got them a "puppies first Christmas" ornament.... they had Christmas sweaters with Snoopy on them, and plenty of presents!!!! I also may or may not have put the bows that go on the presents on the top of their heads. Oops.

6. You refer to the vet's office as their "pediatrician."

Your dogs are your children, children go to a pediatrician. Simple.

7. Doggie cuddles are the best cuddles.

8. They get their hair done more than you do.

Ava and Loretta go to PetSmart and get their hair washed about once a month. I go get my hair done about once every three months.... priorities.

9. When they snore...

snoring can be so annoying, unless it's from my dog. When mine snore, I just think it is so cute and I like to watch them sleep. Could be considered creepy, but I'm telling you, my beagles snoring is like watching angels sleep.

10. No matter how bad of a day you're having, a dog can always make it better.

Your dog loves you unconditionally, and they're always happy to see you. Between the kisses, and the running to meet you at the door, and then jumping for excitement when you're finally home... There's no better feeling than coming home to your dog.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
