No matter what anyone from New York or Chicago says, New England is the best sports region in the world. We’ve experienced the most successful century of any other fan base and are home to four big-time professional teams and dozens of notable college and minor league programs. So, without further ado, here are 10 things that only fans from our region understand.

10. Whenever Rob Gronkowski falls down, we all hold our breath for dear life.

9. When "Sweet Caroline" comes on, everyone sings the chorus.

8. Every time a flag is thrown against the Patriots, we automatically blame Roger Goodell.

7. Rene Rancourt should sing "The Star Spangled Banner" at every sporting event ever.

6. Our child’s middle name will be Brady. Or Tom. Or Tom Brady.

5. In the shower, we sing the Gronk / Big Papi Dunkin' Donuts Jingles.

4. Bill Bellichick is Yoda. No really, he is.

3. People in Southwestern Connecticut actually like the Yankees.

2. We know exactly where we were when Malcolm Butler intercepted the pass in the Super Bowl, and exactly who we were hugging afterward.

1. No one deflated the balls.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
