10 Things My Future Husband Needs To Know

I can be a very needy person and yet I can be the most independent person ever. Regardless, here is a few things that my future husband needs to be prepared for...

1. I have all the confidence in the world

I am overly confident most of the time but that does not mean that your support and opinions will not be appreciated. Still, tell me what you think of me and what you think of what I am doing, I promise it will mean the world to me.

2. I can be crazy... but the good kind of crazy.

I can be very energetic and it can be a bit too much for some people.

3. I can be messy.

When out in public try not to let me have any type of food that I could make a mess out off i.e. ribs, hot wings. I also have the occasional tendency to end up with ice cream on the tip of my nose when eating a cone; something I hope you find cute and quirky, and not gross and disgusting.

4. I come from a HUGE family.

Scott Disick is right, you will be thrown into a family that has more people than a small country. With eight kids, one grandchild, four parents... well you get the picture, that is just the immediate family.

5. I have a very strong past.

I do not take jokes about mental health, rape or anything of the sort lightly, I see it as ignorance and I hope you understand that that is something that will upset me very easily.

6. I take my work very seriously

I have very high ambitions and very high expectations for myself, and my work included. Therefore, I will not stop until I achieve my goals and I will not let anyone or anything stand in my way.

7. Kids are apart of my life plan... maybe.

There was a time when I loved the thought of having kids, but now that I am older I am not so sure if that is something I truly know if I want.

8. Did someone say bad attitude?

In the present moment, yes I do have a bad attitude, not all the time, but when something really fires me up my Jersey accent and the Italian hands are the first things to surface.

9. The cornier the better

I love to laugh and I love puns. Corny jokes are always the best jokes. I love to tell jokes, jokes most others find stupid but I find absolutely hilarious.

10. There will be no one that cares for you the way I do

I am difficult and I will be difficult, but if you are willing to take me on we will be great together. Relationships are all about the good, the bad and the ugly and we will experience that. No matter how bad it gets I will not turn my back and I will not give up. Vows are vows and I'm all about honoring my word. I can not promise rainbows and sunshine all the time, but I can promise commitment, trust, loyalty, and compassion.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
