10 Things To Miss During One Direction's Hiatus

Seriously, come back already.

One Direction, the greatest boyband the world has ever seen (in my opinion), is sadly on a hiatus until 2017. Let's be honest, that's way too long to go without a world tour or new music from Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson. But, since the boys have been working nonstop, a break was much needed to relax and spend time with their families. The hiatus, however, has not been easy for super fans, also known as "directioners", like myself. So, I decided to make a list of the 10 things I'm missing most while 1D's hiatus continues.

1. Attending a One Direction concert.

I've attended four of One Direction's concerts, and they are literally the best shows I've seen in my entire life. In my opinion, you have not lived until you've had the chance to see them live.

2. Listening to a new album on repeat every, single day.

We were lucky enough for One Direction to bless us with a new album, "Made in the A.M", before they started the hiatus. But, I always need some new music from them because it keeps getting better and better.

3. Making new friends at One Direction-related events.

The great thing about being a part of the One Direction fandom is the friendships you make. Literally, once you meet someone who shares a passion for 1D with you, you instantly become best friends. Oh, you're a Niall girl, too? Let's be BFFs forever.

4. Driving hours to see the boys in concert.

How can driving 13 hours to a concert be fun you ask? Well, when you and your two best friends are jamming out to every One Direction song, visiting a new city, and eating at every Chick-fil-A and Whataburger you see, things get very interesting. Road trips to see 1D are actually some of my favorite memories.

5. Watching the boys on various talk shows.

One Direction being on talk shows usually means we get to see them do something hilarious. A big shout out to James Corden, my hero, for making some of the greatest 1D moments possible.

6. Receiving a new tweet from one of the boys every day.

When the boys have either a tour, a book signing, or are just together in general, we usually receive a tweet every, single day. Whether it's Niall tweeting about a football game or Harry saying "All the love. H." after a concert, tweets from the boys are very important to us fangirls.

7. Watching Niall jump super high.

Honestly, Niall Horan can jump like no other person on this planet. How does he jump this high? The world may never know. Maybe, it's because he's Irish.

8. Seeing Harry flip his beautiful hair.

Even though Harry recently cut his hair, seeing his hair flip was such an amazing thing.

9. Laughing at Louis and Liam's pranks.

Whether it be water fights or aggravating each other while singing a solo, Louis and Liam's friendship provides us with a lot of laughs.

10. Knowing that the band will continue on for years to come.

Before the hiatus, it never crossed my mind that One Direction would go their separate ways. For now, I'm trusting that the boys will come back and not break their promise.

So, if you've missed these ten things during this long, horrible hiatus, hang in there. While the news outlets like to say the boys broke up for good, I'm still going to have faith that they will be back together, soon. After all, One Direction cares for their fans tremendously. See you in 2017, boys!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
