10 Things Guys Don't Understand About Girls in a Relationship

1. We aren't all stuck-up or needy.

We don't need expensive gifts to be happy; sometimes all we need is a hug. I mean, who am I to deny a nice gift every now and then? But it's not like we just expect it from you. I would much rather have quality time somewhere than to be wearing something flashy.

2. We don't need you to commit a lot of time or money to us; we just need you to commit to us.

If you're busy, we get it. You're in college. You work. You have a life outside of us. As long as you're open and honest with me about what you're doing, I couldn't care less. Now, with that being said, I would like to be more than just there girl you can sleep with at night, make time to go on adventures or watch Netflix. As long as you show that you do try to see us, that's enough.

3. If you think that we may like you more than you like us, tell us. Be up front and honest. It'll hurt our feelings now, but it will spare us some later.

Guys always assume that they're sparing us our feelings when they just lead us on and don't say anything if they feel like we got the wrong impression of them. NEWS FLASH: you're actually hurting us worse. I would rather be with an a$$hole knowing what I'm getting myself into than with an undercover a$$hole who just plans on using me while I think we are actually getting somewhere. Actually, I would rather just be with a nice guy, but nowadays it's hard to tell who they are.

4. We don't need to see and talk to you 24/7.

I don't care what you had for breakfast. I don't care what time you woke up. No one should talk to and see each other 24/7 to validate their relationship; that's just unhealthy. You need some mystery in your relationship, but if I ask you what you're doing, don't be shady. JUST TELL ME WHAT YOU'RE DOING.

5. If we don't get all dolled up to see you, it's not because we don't care, it's just because we feel comfortable around you.

Sometime we just want to lounge around in sweats and no make-up and since you should love us regardless, you should be the last person to judge us based on appearance.

6. You can have girl friends.

I like to know your friends and how they are around you, but other than that, I don't really care who you hang out with. If you're hanging out with an ex or something like that, just make sure to tell us. It still will be an uncomfortable situation for most girls, but it is better to tell us than to just let us find out. Clearly you're with me and not the 1.5 billion other girls for a reason. You picked me. If you want another girl, that's your problem not mine -- I'm freakin' awesome.

7. We don't care if you watch porn.

Sometimes we just won't be able to suit your needs, and if Alexis Texas can, go for it. It's not like she's coming through the computer screen.

8. If we don't want to talk to you, it's not personal. Sometimes we just need to be alone or with our girlfriends.

After an argument, if I say leave me alone, LEAVE ME ALONE. Most of the time I don't want to talk because I'll end up saying something without thinking and will later regret it.

9. If we say we're fine, sometimes we actually are fine!

Sometime there's no hidden meaning behind it. Hence the word sometimes. Girls are sometimes confusing, I'm sorry.

10. The thought is really what matters.

As long as you put in some type of effort to show us you care about us, that's all we want. Forehead kisses, picnics, flowers and other small surprises go a lot further than you think they do.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
