10 Things I've Forgotten To Thank You For

Having a boyfriend as great as you couldn't have even been in my dreams. As fun as you make life every single day, sometimes it's easy to remember to thank you for everything you do for me.

10. Thank you for supporting me.

Making decisions has never been something I'm good at. Once I make one though, it's nice to know that you have my back no matter what and will stand by me through my decisions.

9. Thank you for being with me, through the good and the bad.

Life is never easy and not always fun. One day can be the best day ever and moments later it can feel like the world is crashing down. No matter what, I know you'll be there next to me to walk through the good and the bad.

8. Thank you for loving me no matter what.

Just like life, I can be a little difficult sometimes. I can never appreciate you more than when you're dealing with me on one of my "attitude and sarcasm" days. Although I know I'm being a pain, you handle me in the best way.

7. Thank you for being my biggest cheerleader.

It's easy for me to get down on myself, but you always know how to make me feel better. Whether it's encouraging me for an exam or that I can eat the last of that pizza, you're always encouraging me to do my best and put in my best effort in everything I do. Whenever I have something big going on, you're always on the sidelines watching me and cheering me on.

6. Thank you for being friends with my friends.

Nothing's better than seeing you laughing with my friends. From a lunch at Millers to sitting with them at my concert; it means the world to me that you make an effort to be close with the people who mean the most to me.

5. Thank you for loving my family.

You never say no to a good family dinner or outing with my family. You fit in with them perfectly and you really are one of us now. It means the world to me that you put the effort in to spend time with them and bond. Nothing makes me happier than to see you with the people who I'm closest to.

4. Thank you for finding the good when I can't.

You have the ability to take a bad situation and give me a whole new outlook on it. You are able to make me see the positives in life no matter how bad it is. As someone who tends to dwell on the negative, I couldn't thank you for this enough. You always make me realize that the glass really is half full, not half empty.

3. Thank you for loving me for me.

Thank you for taking all of my good and all of my bad, and loving me just the same. Thank you for loving me even after I complain for 10 minutes because Chipotle's line is long or when I cry for hours over an episode of Friends.

2. Thank you for waking up and choosing me.

Being committed to loving someone isn't easy, especially with how hard life can be. Waking up and choosing to be with me and to work for us is something I can't thank you for enough. Being 205 miles away from you is never easy, but we choose to make it work.

1. Thank you for being my best friend.

You're not just my boyfriend, you're my best friend. You're there whenever I need you and you buy me food so there's nothing else I could ever need. You're my favorite person to laugh with, cry with, and my favorite person to yell at for talking during CSI: Miami.

Thanking you for everything you do is something that I can never do enough of. I know I forget sometimes, but I never ever forget to BE thankful for you. You're by far the biggest blessings I have ever gotten and I am so thankful to be yours. ❤️

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
