College baseball may not get all the hype of football season, but for those whose hearts yearn for seventh-inning stretches and foul balls it is just as important. And whether you've played the game or just enjoy watching you can probably relate to these things.
1. When someone disses your team
It doesn't matter what rank you are or if your team is having an off year, if anyone says so much as a word against your team you are going to throw hands. Because your school is your team and no one is going to mess with them.
2. Keeping up with the away game score
God bless Twitter and you can bet your bottom dollar that you have your teams twitter notifications turned on. And it's totally not your fault for yelling at or cheering with your phone. Bonus points if you can actually watch the game (or if you watch it during class).
3. When you have class at 2:00 p.m. but there's also a game
Your heart says skip but your GPA says no way. This is the time that you start to plan your schedule for next Spring around baseball season. And you see if your study buddy will sign you in for attendance point, because let's be honest, are you really going to miss a game?
4. Constantly refreshing the D-1 Rankings
Because does any other ranking really matter as much? And if it's not to see your own teams ranking it's to make sure your rival school is moving down, not to name names but... TCU...5. When your team loses or goes down in rank
6. Cheering and commentating the entire game
Yes sometimes you may be a little loud or obnoxious but it's only because you care so much. And you definitely start talking about the players as if you know them personally but it's just part of the fan life. You didn't choose the baseball life, the baseball life chose you.
