Time at home was really nice, but coming back to school made me realize I did miss a lot about Fairfield! Maybe not the homework and the lack of home-cooked meals, but there were plenty of times this week when I said to myself, "I didn't even realized I missed this!"
1. The Campus
Who wouldn't miss the beautiful campus and the views of the Long Island Sound? And don't forget the awesome sunset pictures!
2. Friends!
Going to a school where most people dorm means you don't really see your friends too often during the summer, so it's even more exciting to see them again when school starts up!
3. Barone Ice Cream
You never thought you'd see the word Barone on this list! But having ice cream after dinner is definitely something that was missed.
4. The Beach
Though we can only really go to the beach a couple times during the school year, the walk there and the relaxing day spent with friends is worthy enough to make the list.
5. Free T-shirts
My drawer already has four new additions and we haven't even been here for a week yet!
6. Mass
Mass is one of those things on campus that you miss because you compare it to things at home. It is truly nice to go to Mass with your friends and actually enjoy your hour there.
7. Downtown Restaurants
Colony Grill, Plan B, Flipside, Joe's American... There are too many good ones! Hopefully going out to eat becomes the norm on weekends.
8. Meeting New People
Though it seems like more of a freshman thing to do, meeting new people is awesome and can happen at any age! I met a lot of my current friends late into freshman year, and I'm looking forward to making more!
9. Bellarmine Mansion
This is definitely for the Snapchat stories! But Bellarmine at night is one of the nicest places on campus, and the walk up there is totally worth it.
10. Yes, even the turkeys in the weirdest way possible.
I kind of miss being chased by these little guys on my way to my 8am. Don't you?
