It's almost time for winter break, and the solace is much welcomed, but there are a few thoughts that go through every college student's mind before we can officially go home.
1) "I'm almost there!!!!"
One by one all the finals are being completed and I am so close to the comfort of my bed at home. I have missed sleeping on something which doesn't feel like cardboard. Just a few more days!! Just a few more finals!!
2) "FREEDOM IS NEAR!"
*Cues "Freedom" by Beyonce*
3) "I am so close to the pets!!!!"
Just a few more days until I get to snuggle up next to my furry friend who is never passive aggressive or shady. Good Lord, I can not wait.
4) "OoOOh gOOd gOD I am not prepared for this final!"
Seriously, there is no way we learned all this stuff in this class. I went to around 50 perfect of these classes, and I promise, we did not learn half of that shit.
5) "Is it too late to withdraw?"
Speaking of the final that I am so unprepared for, would it be possible for me to just drop out now? Save myself the time, energy, stress and humiliation? No? Okay. Thanks.
6) "C's get degrees!"
Can't withdraw, so might as well do the bare minimum to graduate!
7) "I can't wait to eat a real home cooked meal!"
It's only been about a month since Thanksgiving, but honestly, coming back to dining hall food after a feast at home should be labeled as a cruel and unusual punishment.
8) "Ah shit, I still have to get presents for everyone."
I'm so broke...do you think mom and dad would appreciate a lack of an expulsion letter?
9) "I can't wait to see all my high school friends"
Reunited and it feels so good!
10) "Netflix binge!"
All semester I have been making a list of TV shows and movies I want to binge, and that is all I plan on doing this break. Honestly, please forget you know me for the next month.
