We've reached the time of year where school's out, warm weather is here, and no one wants to stay indoors. Here are a few cute, simple, and cheap ideas for fun summer date nights!

1. Stargazing

There is nothing more relaxing than laying out on a starry night without a care in the world. You can make it an intimate setting and start-up deep conversation or keep it fun and light with some simple conversation and maybe some snacks.

2. Hike & picnic

Pick a day where it's the perfect temperature outside; you can pack up a small lunch and backpack to go explore! What's more fun than going out in the woods or go on some random trail to look at wildlife?

Try to go out and find an interesting little spot!

3. The city

What’s so fun about this is there are so many fun and free things to do in the city! You can just simply walk around and enjoy a quiet day filled with a different scenery, people watching, and catch the perfect photo-op moment.

4. Water fight

Let loose a little with this one! Go to your local dollar store to purchase balloons and water guns, or just grab the hose, fill up some water bottles and buckets to start it all up!

This can be a fun-filled, competitive afternoon when the heat is just too hot to handle!

5. Beach it up

It’s summer, go to a nearby beach and have some fun in the sun! You can enjoy this day by catching some rays, going for a swim, or event starting a sand volleyball game! Your options are endless for this one.

6. Drive-in

Look up where the nearest drive-in theatre is and pack up the car to enjoy! This is perfect for a lazy night where you just wanna watch movies but be outside as well.

7. Bonfire

Start up a small fire, cuddle up under a blanket, put some music on, and enjoy a nice summer night around the fire! Cook up some s’mores while you’re at it.

8. Ice cream

Go grab a sweet treat with the person you’re spending time with and just enjoy their company!

9. Watch the day start or end

Go head out to your special spot with your significant other and if you don’t have one then find one and watch the sun rise or set!

10. Be adventurous

Go do something fun and crazy, like cliff jumping! It will be a memorable day of just enjoying a risk.

Try out a few of these ideas this summer when you’re bored and have nothing else to do!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
