It is that time when we are all going home for the summer. And while you and your college friends are all going your separate ways, you are not as sad because you are finally getting to reunite with your long-distance best friend. Whether your best friend lives just hours away, or in my situation across the country over 3,000 miles away reuniting with them is the best feeling in the world. This brings major excitement into your life, from no sleep, to countdowns and even some tears. Therefore, based off of true events here are the stages of reuniting with your long-distance best friend.
1. Hearing the news that your BFF is planning to come home.
This is probably one of the most shocking and nerve racking moments because you aren't sure if the plans will follow through. So you keep your excitement on the down low just in case.
2. Solidifying the plans.
It's official, SHE'S COMING!
3. Starting the countdown.
By far the worst part of all the stages, because it seems so close yet so far away and time seems to be going by so slow as it gets closer.
4. Constantly telling each other about y'all's excitement.
ALL DAY, EVERY DAY!
5. Night before she arrive basically means no sleep because SHE'S COMING!
Who needs sleep, your BFF is on her way!
6. Driving to the airport and realizing this is not a joke.
Reality is sinking in, you are about to be reunited and you could not be happier!
7. Almost tackling her and crying because your other half is here.
The best part of reuniting!
8. Nonstop catching up.
There is so much to tell and seems like not enough time!
9. Finally getting to do all the things only y'all can do together.
Well let's face it, there are only things that y'all can do together because y'all are the weirdest when together.
10. Making every moment count until y'all separate again.
I love you best friend, never leave.
