Ah, new school semester, what a wonderful time. There are many emotions and feelings that begin going through everyone’s head once this time of the year comes around - especially for seniors. Senior year is probably going to be incredibly stressful and filled with restless nights. Not only do we, as seniors, have to think about schoolwork, but now we have to go through the process of deciding what the hell we want to do for the rest of adulthood. So. Exciting. Yay.
Here are some stages that I believe college students go through once a new school semester starts:
- 1. You say you’ll try to wake up early and work out before (or after) classes. Oh, and you’ll try to eat healthy too. But really salads are around 7 dollars verses cheaper and possibly not as healthy options, we're in college, which one do you think we'll pick
2. You then realize how much you really hate waking up early, for anything.
3. You say you’ll stay on top of assignments and actually make an effort to read the books, etc.
4. You’ll make an effort to look cute, comfy and stylish.
5. You make it a point to be done with assignments and project by the deadline, but really procrastinate.
6. You realize someone you don’t like is in your class.
7. Then everything begins to hit you like a truck and the anxiety and stress begin. Then you pretend to have it all together.
8. Then there’s finals week.
9. Trying not to lose it/ give up entirely or cry and curl up in your bed.
10. Then comes school break/end of the semester and you’re overcome with joy.
Of course everyone deals with the new semester in their own way and this was just poking fun at what most complain about or go through at some point when they're in college. But let's try to make the best of it, we'll get through it. Fingers crossed.
