Spring break is more than flying to an exotic destination. It's a time to relax, refresh and cross a few things off of your local to-do list.
1. Explore your hometown.
When you go home, go look at what is new in your home town. For example, maybe they built a new restaurant, or maybe that old park has been redone, you never know.
2. Catch up with old friends.
We lost contact a while ago, well let us go get coffee and become close again. Even if we ended on bad terms, we have probably changed.
3. Go visit a friend from school who doesn't live by you.
They might live in rural Illinois, while you are up by Chicago. Well maybe we need a sleepover.
4. Watch a Netflix show, or three.
I don't need an explanation for this. Netflix is fun.
5. Start a hobby.
I kinda want to create one of those boats in a jar.
6. Read a book.
I know, I know, we read a lot as college students, but reading for fun is cool also.
7. Start free writing.
As an English Major, I never have time to go write, but now I have a whole week of freedom.
8. Have fun with your parents.
They missed us, and we are gone for most of the year. Maybe take your parents to dinner or just watch a movie with them for a night. This would probably make them happy.
9. Exercise.
Not that I particularly fond of exercising, but maybe since I have some free time I can go for a run or do a sit up. No more than one sit up though, it is spring break.
10. Take a break from drinking.
In college, we drink quite a bit. I am guilty of this also. So maybe this break I'll relax and have fun without alcohol. (it is possible).
BONUS THING!
Go out and vote!
The election is coming up, so go and make a difference and make sure your voice is heard on this next election!
