Nearly every moment on Spongebob can somehow be related to a life event and that includes the insanity of holidays, specifically Thanksgiving, which is right around the corner. Whether your extended relative asks about your love life or you just cannot wait for the turkey to be served, there is a Spongebob GIF for every single second of this festive holiday.

1. The never-ending questions about your life

When your extended family member asks why you're on a five year track for college, why you haven't gotten a job yet, or why you aren't engaged and ready to be married, and you try to find different excuses as to why your life isn't playing out how they imagined it would.

2. Having to deal with an annoying extended family member

When you have a relaxing morning watching the Thanksgiving Day Parade and than the family member you really cannot stand and do not want to talk to pulls up in the driveway. You try to hide in your room, but your parents tell you to go open the door for them.

3. Arguments

When someone in the family starts arguing about politics or drama in the family and all you want to do is enjoy the stuffing and pumpkin pie in peace. Sometimes it's just better to stay out of it.

4. Working on Thanksgiving

When you're the only one in your family who is working on Thanksgiving, so while everyone else is planning how much alcohol they're going to drink, all you can think about is the fact that you have to go to work and deal with the insanity of pre-black Friday.

5. The appetizers

When all you really care about before the grand meal is the endless variety of appetizers from deviled eggs to artichoke dip with a side of pretzels. Also, let's not forget about the cheese platter that someone always brings with every possible cubed cheese you can think of. The appetizers are to blame for all of the turkey leftovers because everyone is full before they even eat the main course.

6. The entire house smells amazing

When your house is the one hosting the the Thanksgiving festivities and the entire place smells like fresh Turkey, stuffing, mini hot dogs, and every other food that makes waiting for the actual dinner seem like torture. It's basically heaven for your nostrils.

7. You're stuck watching weird stuff

When there's nothing to watch on television except for comedies about Thanksgiving or football, or you're forced to watch some terrible movie that your family chooses and it would seem rude to go into another room instead of spending time with family. Why is Thanksgiving day television programming so predictable?

8. When the night won't end

When you're extremely tired after a day of helping your mother cook, entertaining people for hours on end, stuffing Turkey down your throat, and all you want to do is cuddle in bed with a soft blanket and nap before the craziness of shopping begins at 6 PM. But, you can't nap because the party never ends on Thanksgiving and you can't just tell family to leave.

9. The shopping rush

When it use to be unheard of to go black Friday shopping on Thanksgiving night, but now that idea seems to be the norm and every person thinks the deals are better the night before. It doesn't help that everyone is rushing to get to the mall at the same time before the doors open to get the best deals, and suddenly whoever is driving thinks its legal to drive 80 MPH in a 65.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
