Whenever I walk into Sephora, my mind goes into a trance-like state and I can't even decide what to look at first. What makes it even worse, is that I know that I want something that I know is going to follow through with it's promises of making me look flawless, but I don't want to go broke buying the wrong thing!
Here are ten products that are most definitely worth the splurge, and I don't know how I lived without them before:
1. Agave Lip Mask (Bite Beauty, $26)
This stuff is a lifesaver, especially if you suffer from dry lips on a daily basis.
Why sacrifice color for moisture? Why not get the best of both?
This "mask" is like an intensive lip balm, but you leave it on just like Carmex. Plus, it tastes delicious!
The mask is available in three different tints.
Champage (A shiny nude)
Smashed (A cherry red)
Natural (Clear/Yellow)
2. Dermaclear Microwater (Dr. Jart+, $32)
I will never go back to regular makeup remover after finding this gem.
It removes everything, and I mean EVERYTHING!
It's a cleansing water, that takes off your makeup, and washes your face. Cool right?
It's a "no-rinse" remover too, so you don't have to wash your face after either! I keep it by my bed with some cotton pads for when I'm just too lazy to wash my makeup off before bed.
3. BeautyBlender Sponge (BeautyBlender, $20)
Honestly, 20 bucks for a sponge sounds ridiculous, especially when there are a lot of much cheaper versions out there. But this sponge is different.
I will never, ever put foundation on the same ever again! This little blender doubles in size when saturated in water, and you dab the foundation on your face with it. It also works beautifully for applying powder if you're one to "bake" your face too!
4. Tattoo Liner (Kat Von D, $19)
This pen changed my life. You get the closest line ever to your lash line, and cat-eyes are so simple! The color options are really pretty too.
** Bonus: It stays on FOREVER. Until you remove it, of course!
5. "That Gal" Face Brightening Primer (Benefit, $29)
Finding the right primer is kind of difficult, especially when you see how expensive a lot of them are at Sephora.
"That Gal" primer is a pretty, pink color that smells so good!
You layer this on before your foundation, and you're set for the rest of day, or night! It automatically brightens the complexion, and your makeup stays put until you take it off.
6. Cocoa Contour (Too Faced, $40)
If you are buying a contouring palette for the first time, look no further!
This palette is beautiful on any skin tone, and it smells JUST like a chocolate bar, because it's made from chocolate!
**Heads up, it is a powder, so if you prefer cream, check out Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Cream Palette for the same price!
7. One Step Correct (Stila, $36)
I like to use this amazing product before I put primer on. It really does work wonders! It evens out your skin tone, and hydrates in one easy step.
It contains green to counteract redness, purple to prevent a sallow-looking face, a salmon color to brighten, and a serum to hydrate and treat your skin!
8. Ultra Repair Hydra-Firm Sleeping Cream (First Aid Beauty, $38)
If you struggle with dry skin, especially during the winter months, this product is for you!
You put it on right before bed, and when you wake up, you have soft, hydrated skin!
I used to be worried that I'd break out from putting too many skin products on, but I heard someone say that your skin is like bread. If you leave it out with nothing, it gets dried out, but if you put butter on it overnight, you'll wake up to soft bread. Interesting way of putting it, but you get the point.
9. Acne Body Wash (Murad, $40)
For those of you who struggle with body acne, look no further! This is a great body scrub that clears up your skin pretty darn quick. I wish I knew about this in high school, because it really is a life-saver.
10. They're Real! Mascara (Benefit, $24)
Hands down, one of the best mascaras I've ever used. My lashes practically double in size with just one swipe! It also stays on all day too!
