10 Southern Easter Traditions

Easter is a holiday for everyone. Although, there are some traditions that are more southern for this holiday and not everywhere honors these traditions. So here are some ways to know that you're celebrating these southern Easter traditions.

1. Your favorite store is closed Good Friday.

2. Shopping for an Easter dress is a huge affair.

3. For Lent you gave up sweet tea.

4. Your grandma holds an annual family egg hunt.

5. Finding the most eggs in the family is like winning a huge honor.

6. You're never too old for an Easter basket.

7. You eat just like you would on any other Holiday but for lunch.

8. There's a line in the parking lot after church to get a family picture in front of The Living Cross.

9. You get super excited for the grape juice for the Lord's Supper.

10. Every caption on Instagram reads "He is risen indeed!"

All these traditions hold true and make Easter so much better in the South! It wouldn't be the same without these 10 things. It all adds up to be one of the best holidays of the year! Thank God for southern traditions! Also, thank the Lord that He is risen indeed!!
