I always have music playing. Whether I'm home alone doing dishes or driving around in my car, my music is always on and I'm always singing along. The consequences of this, of course, are that at any one time I have several songs stuck in my head. The songs jumble together, I mix up words and I'm always singing to myself or jamming out in my seat. Here is a list of 11 songs that are stuck in my head right this very moment.
1. Heroine by Sleeping With Sirens
Off their album Madness, "Heroine" is a song that I recently found by accident when my iPod was on shuffle. Now every time I get into my car this is the first song I listen to. I have an addiction to Kellin Quinn's voice and this song reminds me how much I love Sleeping With Sirens.
2. Cali Buds by A Skylit Drive
Though this song first came out in 2012 it recently made it into being one of those songs that I listen to on repeat. Jag has an undeniably high-pitched voice which at times makes it hard to sing along, yet with "Cali Buds" I try my hardest to hit every note, no matter how awful I sound trying to do so.
3. Hypnotized by Set It Off
This list would not be complete without at least one Set It Off song. This song is angry and I love it. Set It Off steps away from their usual tone with this song with fast, hard-hitting lyrics that I never expected. If I'm in the mood for Set It Off this is the first song I listen to.
4. Dope by BTS
Okay, so I want everyone to know that I don't make the habit of listening to foreign music. However, my old roommate and best friend (I'm looking at you, Ashleigh) did. She started with German music and somehow it morphed into a love for K-Pop. I was always hearing songs with words I didn't understand, but I could never deny the catchy beat of these songs. After we went our separate ways I stopped listening to K-Pop except for Dope. Because this is song is so... dope.
5. American Candy by The Maine
This song is amazing. It delves deep into the idea of drug addiction (that's the American Candy) and how it affects children, teenagers and young adults in today's society. Or I could be looking way too deeply into this song. This is one of the first The Maine songs I ever listened to and it's still to this day one of the only ones that ever gets stuck in my head.
6. And The Snakes Start To Sing by Bring Me The Horizon
I have loved this song since I first heard it when Sempiternal came out. This was the first song on the CD I fell in love with. It disappeared from my mind for a long time, but has recently resurfaced. There's just something about this song that makes me fall in love with BMTH (and Oli Sykes) all over again.
7. Time Is Money by You Me At Six featuring Winston McCall
I have no idea why I like this song so much. I just do. In fact, I can hear it playing in my head right now.
8. Same Sea by Lights
I am not going to lie. I have a major lady crush on Lights. Beau and Lights are my number one OTP. I even follow baby Rocket on Instagram. I first heard this song at a Lights concert I went to in 2014. Ever since then I have loved this song. It's an amazing love song and I will always cherish it.
9. Concrete by As It Is
I fell in love with As It Is after seeing them with Set It Off and now I am obsessed. This is one of my favorite times and it always rolling around in the back of my mind.
10. Fourth of July by Fall Out Boy
This is a song that I had a habit of listening to at least three times in a row everytime I hear it. Not only is this song always stuck in my head but it is probably my absolute favorite FOB song of all time.
