With summer break racing to an end, it’s important that everyone has songs to get them through these final weeks and make them count.

1. "One Dance" by Drake

There’s no way anyone can deny this song has been a hit since Drake’s latest album, VIEWS, dropped back in late April. But somehow the track has managed to continue to stay on the radio throughout summer and is currently number one on Billboards Hot 100. "One Dance" definitely has some summer vibes from having a bottle of Hennessy in one hand to needing to get that last dance before you have to go.

2. "Gold" by Kiiara

When I first heard this song, I thought it was in another language, until I realized that the intro to the song is meant to sound like that. Kiiara is a 21-year-old pop singer from Wilmington which is a small town about an hour from Chicago, Illinois. Warning: the song is extremely catchy! One listen will definitely have you playing it for the rest of summer.

3. "This is What You Came For" by Calvin Harris ft. Rihanna

This song currently sits at number four on Billboard’s Hot 100, and it will get stuck in your head. "This is What You Came For" has undoubtedly been dominating your local pop radio show since it came out and it probably won’t be stopping any time soon.

4. "Cheap Thrills" by Sia ft. Sean Paul

I personally like the remix of "Cheap Thrills" more than the original-- not saying that Sia didn’t make a hit already, just that the addition of Sean Paul makes the song even better than it was before. The song is a good one for a girl’s night out, even when you aren’t planning to do anything special with your friends.

The main point of the song emphasizes how having a good time doesn’t have to involve spending a lot of money.

5. "Summertime" by LOLAWOLF

While you may not recognize LOLAWOLF, I’m sure you’ve heard of Zoë Kravtiz daughter of Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet. While her original fame might come from her parents, she’s definitely making her own spotlight with not only her acting (as seen in her role as Nakia in "Dope") and modeling career, but with her music as well. "Summertime" is the kind of song you’d probably be blasting while having a road trip to the beach.

6. "Caroline" by Amine

Portland rapper, Aminé, released this contagious track back in mid-March and just in time for summer break. The melody of the song positively will have you dancing along by the end of the first listen.

7. "Boy You Knock Me Out" by Tatyana Ali

"Boy You Knock Me Out" is a throwback and a perfect one for some summer romance. Many of you probably recognize Tatyana Ali from her roles as Ashley Banks on Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Probably didn’t know her skills included singing, did you?

8. "Get Lit" by A$AP Rocky ft Fat Tony

Many of you probably wonder where “lit” originated from and I would have to say from "Get Lit," which was released almost 5 years ago. For anyone who’s heard this song they probably play it once every summer. It’s a great song for when you’re kicking it back with your friends.

9. "Good Life" by Kanye West ft. T-Pain

Anyone who’s a fan of Kanye can agree that "Good Life" is one of his best songs. Even though it was released almost 8 years ago, it is always a good song to help you enjoy your summer to the fullest.

10. "This Is How We Do It" by Montell Jordan

Of course, I saved the best for last. If you’ve never heard "This How We Do It," click the link immediately.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
