With Blood on the Dance Floor reaching their ten year anniversary, I thought it would be a perfect time to talk about 10 songs by them that you should listen to. Now, Blood on the Dance Floor is coming to an end so that Dahvie Vanity who just recently changed his name to Dahvie Insanity can focus on his own music. And just recently, JayyVon decided to move on with his own music and break away from Blood. This was his own choice and both of them are amazing artists together. But, they are also strong solo artists. Jayy was a part of BOTDF for 6 years. He joined after there was a major controversy surrounding BOTDF which was later dismissed as a false report. Once Jayy joined, they soared to popularity and played warped tour in 2012. Now, they are coming to an end. But, Blood on the Dance Floor will live on forever through the Slash Gash Terror Crew and all the secret fans out there.
- "Bewitched".
Love, death, and a tragic ending. What could be better in a music video? The song is about someone witching you while you’re in love with them. - "Crafted By Your Lies".
This song I about letting the lies that other people say about you shape you into who you are. Causing you to get “Crucified by your lies.” As Jayy says in the song. - "F**k The Rest We The Best".
This song was written when Jayy joined the band. This was also Dahvie’s comeback song. - "Death To Your Heart".
The music video to this song is just amazing. People complain how you can hear the song go from auto tune to their actual voices. Personally it is my favorite song. - "Candyland".
This is a very sexual song. But that is what makes it so much fun. It’s the fact that it is so sexual. “Blow me till I pop.” “I’ll be your gingerbread man.” “Whipped cream and astroglide, Pull off my wrapper and slip and slide.” - "Sexting".
This is about the craze of sexting. There’s two versions of this song. There’s one version with Jeffree Starr and Blood on the Dance Floor. The second version is just Blood on the Dance Floor. - "Fake Is The New Trend".
This is about how people are being fake now and that is the new normal. - "Believe."
It’s all about believing in yourself. And believing in what others tell you about yourself. - "You Done Goofed."
Now, I believe this song was about how Dahvie was wrongfully accused of rape. Which he has opened up more about earlier in September - "Morning Star."
This song is all about missing someone when they are gone. At the end of the song, you can head Dahvie Vanity struggling to get out the words “I know I’ll never be alone, I’ll always keep you in this song. No matter where I go, you’ll still be with me when you’re gone.”
These are the top 10 songs that you should listen to by Blood on the Dance Floor. This is an amazing band in my opinion.
