We all have that one friend who takes care of the group. Need a pep talk? Forgot to bring snacks? Want a designated driver? The mom friend is your gal! She's got your back day in and day out.
Not sure who that person in your group of friends might be? Maybe it's you! Here are a few signs you're the mom friend:
1. No one messes with your friends
The mom side of you comes out in full for force when a friend is hurt or angry. You're not only the shoulder to cry on, but you'll whoop someone's butt for them if you have to.
2. You refer to close friends as "my babies," "sweetie/sweetheart" or "hun"
...and not one of them questions it.
3. You're usually the more sober one who takes care of the rest of the group
"No no, sweetie, you don't need another shot."
4. You require your friends to text or call you to make sure they got home safe
There's a good chance you didn't even go out with them that night, you're just checking – because you can never be too careful.
5. You're the designated mediator
You've got the best communication skills of the group, so if there's an argument you'll be the one to fix things.
6. When you're the host, you constantly worry about your guests
"Are you cold? I can shut the window!" "Do you want anything to drink?" "I have snacks if you're hungry!"
7. You keep track of your friends better than yourself
You're basically the group's human planner/calendar. If there's an event in anyone's life you'll be the one to remind them and prepare them.
8. You're the group go-to for advice
Everyone comes to you with their problems – and you always know what they need to hear.
9. You have all the snacks
Your friends will think you're silly for always having food until they're hungry and beg for a bite of that granola bar.
