Best friend is an honorable title to behold, and the ones who have earned it are usually the people you hang out with 24/7. However, when they go back to college in other states, or travel halfway across the world for months on end, you are forced to adapt to a lifestyle that is foreign to you. If you happen to suffer from these 10 symptoms, I think it is safe to say that your best friends need to make an appearance in your life as soon as humanly possible!
1. You find yourself driving to your best friend's house.
Then, you realize they're 2,000 miles away.
2. You say find yourself saying, "I would do that if they were here."
I mean, no other normal person will watch 20 consecutive episodes of "Grey's Anatomy" with you.
3. You catch yourself saying or doing things that other people just don't understand (or any normal human being, for that matter).
4. You try to call your best friend when something earth-shattering happens, but they don't answer since you're on completely opposite schedules.
At least your dog will listen.
5. You do some serious self-reflection and spend a lot of time by yourself since it seems like you only had one friend while they were here.
6. You reference them at least once in every other sentence, even when the other person has no idea who you're talking about.
7. You practically lose an entire closet, since your best friend took all of your favorite clothes with her.
8. You tell people stories that only your best friend would think is funny, and get slightly offended when no one else laughs.
You had to be there, right?
9. You have a calendar with the days counting down until you get to see them.
Your life can finally turn back to normal (for as long as their break allows it).
10. You have no one to help you make decisions, which leaves you to make them all on your own.
We all know how horribly that tends to turn out.
