Having a sister is absolutely amazing. If you are like me, then your sister is someone special to you.
1. Her wardrobe is your wardrobe.
My sister is constantly yelling at me for taking her clothes without asking. We usually swap clothes when we desperately need something to wear and our wardrobe is trash. I always pick outfits for her from my closet and she does the same. It's just what we do. What's the point of having a sister if you don't share your clothes?
2. You can never stay mad at her.
My sister and I always yell and fight with each other, and then go back to talking normally five minutes later. I tell her everything, so there is no way that I can ever stay mad at her longer than a couple of minutes. It is her job to annoy the crap out of me and vice versa. I just don't understand how people can hold a grudge against their siblings. That is something I have never been able to do.
3. You have the same friends.
Even though my sister and I are almost four years apart, we still have some of the same friends. Vanessa has been my sister's best friend since middle school. Being in my life for so long, she's more like an additional sister than anything else. I like being able to hang out with my sister and friends and not having it be awkward and weird.
4. You require each others approval.
No matter what I do, I will always look to my big sister for approval. I want to make sure that I do not disappoint her. Her opinion means absolutely EVERYTHING to me.
5. She is there when no one else is.
In this picture, my sister, Brittany, was my date because I don't have a boyfriend. When I am feeling sad or down, she is always there to help me. Brittany knows exactly when I am not feeling myself even if I try to hide it. She's the only person who is always there for me. I will always be there for her as well.
6. You know how to make each other smile.
We have so many inside jokes with each other. One look can make us crack up laughing. When we are together we are a joking dream team. Together, we are the life of the party.
7. Unconditional Love
No matter what you do or say to each other, you will always love each other. There is nothing that can stop the love between me and my sister.
8. Known each other the longest.
We have been sisters for nearly two decades. Brittany knows me better than anyone. We have been best friends since day one.
9. You can read her mind.
You know exactly how she is feeling and what she is thinking without her having to say anything. Sometimes we say the exact same thing without even planning it. It feels like we have the same brain.
10. You're eternally grateful that your parents gave you a sister.
Life would be completely empty without my sister. I honestly have no clue what I would do without her. I am so grateful to have her in my life. She annoys the crap out of me and can sometimes be a nuisance, but I still love her more than anything. I would not trade you for the world. I love you to the moon and back.
