1) You can count on one hand the number of times you have went to the emergency room.
A simple fever or a sprained wrist doesn't worry a nurse. If you're not bleeding to death, you're fine.
2) You always ask your parent for medical advice, and so does your best friend, boyfriend, and roommate.
Don't head to the doctor after you hurt your ankle. No point in asking google how to treat a bee sting.
3) You've gotten your flu shot in the comfort of your kitchen.
I mean, hey, it's free.
4) Your parent has just about every medication under the sun on them.
Nauseous? Here you go. Having an allergic reaction? Try this.
5) You were never able to fake sick.
Somehow they can tell just by looking at you that there is nothing wrong.
6) They always have (graphic) stories to tell you.
Often during dinner, unfortunately.
7) you've dressed up as a nurse/doctor for Halloween.
You had real scrubs and a stethoscope, and their surgeon colleagues might have even let you borrow their shoe covers and scrub caps!
8) If there isn't any tape left, there's always surgical tape!
You might have even secured a school project with it.
9) They have had to work holidays.
Sometimes Easter, sometimes the Fourth of July, maybe even Christmas. You learned early on to cherish the holidays that both parents were home for.
10) No matter what, you're so grateful for being raised by a nurse!
Despite the fact that you could never fake sick and they were often at work on holidays, it's so nice to have someone who knows what they're doing when you're sick or injured.
