People come in and out of our lives constantly. Some temporary, some permanent. Every once in a while we meet a friend who isn't like most people, and they end up making us a better person. How do you know that your friend is true to you, and will always be by your side? Here are some ways you can find out.
1. They can tell something is wrong without you saying anything.
No matter how hard you try to convince them "you're fine" or "you're just tired" they know that something is up. They know you, and once you start acting different than your normal self, your friend is going to go out of their way to fix things.
2. They're honest with you, even when it's something you don't want to hear.
Sometimes its good to hear another person's opinion on something that has been bothering you. Your friend is going to tell you their honest opinion, even if its something you completely disagree with. Hear them out though, because what they're saying is for your best interest.
3. They never exclude you.
We all know how it feels to being laying in bed on a Saturday night with no plans. A true friend will always invite you out with them if they're doing something. If they don't have plans either, they'll be the one to join you for a movie night!
4. They keep your secrets.
There are some things about yourself that you wouldn't like the whole world to know. Telling someone something personal is risky because you are trusting them to not go behind your back and tell others. You will be able to trust this person with out any doubts, they know that its not their place to tell others your personal business.
5. They defend you in your absence.
Sometimes its hard for someone to go against what a whole crowd is saying. A friend might find themselves in a situation where everyone is saying bad things about you. A true friend will stand up for you, no matter what.
6. They're the first person you call/text when something happens.
Whenever something good, bad, or ugly happens this person is the first person you want to tell. They will be happy for any good news you tell them. If by chance your news is not so happy, they'll be the only person who can cheer you up.
7. You share each others' closets.
No it is not a coincidence you saw your friend wearing the same shirt you own, its yours. I mean why go out and waste money on a shirt you like if your friend owns it? Their closet, is pretty much yours.
8. You guys think you're the funniest people you know.

Whenever you're with your friend you always find yourself laughing (even if what's going on, isn't even really funny). There's no other person you've ever laughed so hard with your stomach starts to physically hurt.
9. They play "Mom."
Your friend will always find themselves acting like your mom. Making sure you stay on top of your homework, get to bed at a decent hour when you're sick, or calling you after you tweet something sad to make sure you're okay.
10. You act like you live at their house.

You don't find yourself knocking at the door because their family is so used to having you over. You help yourself inside their cabinets and fridge. After a couple visits you pretty much know where everything is in the house.
