Summer is finally over and you know what that means... COLLEGE! The time where the textbooks come out, classes start, and you get to move back to the place you call "home". One thing that tops off the college experience... your roommate. Whether you're bringing them from high school or going completely random, everyone's experience is extremely different. Hopefully, you got the roomie of your dreams and here are a few sure-fire ways to tell...
1. Finding privacy isn't necessary
You both have boundaries yet are extremely comfortable with each other. You don't really need to be alone because you enjoy their company so much. Not saying privacy is a bad thing, but with your roomie you don't really need it.
2. You share stuff with no problem
Whether it's clothes, class notes, or even a cup, you are both willing to share anything with no issue.
3. You miss them when they're gone
Being in the room is never fun, it's always better when they are there. You can't wait for them to get back so you can talk and just hang out together.
4. You do stuff for each other
Even if it's as simple as handing them something or grabbing them what they need from the grocery store, it's no big deal to you. Doing stuff for them isn't a chore but it's something you enjoy.
5. You keep each other intact.
You make sure that each other are doing their work and staying on top of things. You both want to pass classes so why not do it together?
6. You care for each other
Even a simple text to ask where they are or how they're doing is a small way to show that you care. You keep each other sane and that's all anyone could ever ask for.
7. You basically are the same person
If it's style, sense of humor, or hobbies, you guys are basically twins and it couldn't be more awesome.
8. You share all the gossip
The first person you text when something happens is your roomie and you instantly talk about it the minute you see each other.
9. Your parents care about them
Every time you face time your mom you can guarantee she'll ask how your roomie is doing. Your mom is always dying to know how your roommate is doing and you're happy to tell her.
10. You love coming home to them

After a long day, you're so ready to get home and just relax. Having a roomie that you can come home to and just talk about your day is such a nice feeling.
After reading this, you and your roomie hopefully fit into at least a few of these categories. If you aren't relating to these at the moment, give it time. Some friendships take a while to form so be patient. Even if you don't click at all this year maybe next year you'll find the MVR (most valuable roomie).
